RouteNote updates its Revenue Sharing tool
The option to split revenue between multiple RouteNote accounts has become quicker and easier. Now, all you need to do is log into your account, head to Revenue Sharing under the distribution tab, and Request Access to Form. You’ll be emailed a magic link to the form, which you can then fill out with details of the tracks and collaborators you’d like to share revenue with. Fairer collaboration is now simpler than ever!
Apple Music revives Apple Music Connect
Apple Music has relaunched Apple Music Connect as a professional toolkit for labels and distributors, helping them manage and promote new releases. It includes tools to create marketing assets, pitch music to Apple’s editorial team, and handle media requests. While not directly aimed at artists, it can improve how releases are promoted and positioned on the platform.
Qobuz starts tagging AI-generated content
Following through with points made in its AI Charter, Qobuz has begun tagging music and content added to the platform that is 100% AI-generated. The hi-res streaming platform is utilising a proprietary tool to analyse and tag AI content, helping to increase transparency for its users, much like Deezer. These tags will become visible in the coming months.
Pandora AMP introduces Fan Campaigns
Pandora’s Artist Marketing Platform (Pandora AMP) has introduced an updated suite of tools to help artists market their music more easily. Existing campaign tools, like Artist Audio Tracks and Featured Tracks, have been updated and pulled together. This update streamlines campaign creation and helps artists get more detailed information about how their music is received.
Apple Music introduces Transparency Tags
Joining the likes of Deezer and Qobuz, Apple Music has introduced Transparency Tags, to boost transparency around AI-generated content. However, the tagging of content will be the responsibility of labels and distributors before it reaches Apple’s platform. Transparency Tags will focus on audio, artwork, lyrics, and video, highlighting anything created with any form of AI assistance.
Spotify lets users edit algorithm with Taste Profile
Spotify is increasing its users’ levels of personalisation even further with a feature that enables them to review and fine-tune their preferences. Taste Profile is a new interface that lets listeners see the listening data influencing their account and adjust it using text prompts.
Deezer reaches profitability for first time in 2025
For the first time in its history, Deezer achieved a profit in 2025. The French streaming platform attributes its growth and success to its healthy paid subscriber growth, which comes as a result of “clearer brand positioning centered on artists, AI transparency and authentic fan connections.”

Spotify has launched SongDNA in beta, letting Premium users explore the collaborators, influences, and connections behind any track. The feature highlights contributors and reveals how artists are linked across songs, giving greater visibility to the people behind the music.

Spotify has introduced Artist Profile Protection in beta, a feature that lets artists review and approve any music released under their name before it goes live.
