Dutch DJ and producer Martin Garrix has once again been crowned No. 1 in DJ Mag’s Top 100 DJs poll. This is not Garrix’s first time at the top—he first claimed the title for the first time in 2016.

The DJ Mag Top 100 DJs poll is a highly anticipated annual ranking driven entirely by fan votes, with EDM enthusiasts from across the globe participating in the selection process. Known for his chart-topping hits such as “Animals”, which launched him into international fame, and his high-profile collaborations with artists like Dua Lipa and Usher, Garrix has become one of the most influential figures in the electronic music industry. His ability to consistently produce hit records and sell-out global tours has earned him a loyal and passionate following.

The award was presented to Martin Garrix by none other than fellow Dutch DJ legend Armin van Buuren during a ceremony at the Amsterdam Music Festival (AMF). The AMF is a cornerstone event in the dance music calendar and part of the larger Amsterdam Dance Event (ADE), where industry leaders and fans gather to celebrate the best in electronic music.

This year’s DJ Mag awards ceremony featured an exciting global element, with a number of DJs performing via livestream from around the world. There was an estimated 40,000-strong audience at the festival. Fans worldwide tuned in to watch their favorite artists showcase their talent. Following the DJ of the Year ceremony, Martin Garrix went on to perform a headline set.

The DJ Mag Top 100 poll is more than just a competition—it also serves a noble cause, as proceeds from the poll go toward supporting UNICEF.

At just 28 years old, Martin Garrix continues to break boundaries and influence the world of electronic music. His victory at DJ Mag’s Top 100 for 2024 solidifies his legacy as a powerhouse in the industry, with many more accolades likely to come.
