LG brings its own podcast, live-radio, and music streaming service to its smart TVs.

A new era for smart TV audio

LG is stepping into the audio streaming world with the launch of LG Radio+, a free podcast and radio-streaming service available exclusively on its smart TVs. Partnering with Radioline, this ad-supported platform brings a selection of content – from trending podcasts to live radio stations – right into your living room.

“This new service allows users to effortlessly access a diverse selection of podcasts and radio programs.”

LG Announcement

While the announcement focuses on podcasts and audio, it also includes a ‘Featured’ page which dynamically updates to showcase trending music and seasonal hits.

An enhanced TV experience

LG Radio+ is designed with convenience in mind. The service is integrated into the LG ThinQ app, allowing users to control and enjoy their favourite audio content from anywhere in the room. Additionally, the LG Magic Remote and the Content Store makes accessing the app as simple as a few clicks.

Gone are the days when your TV was just for watching, LG Radio+ transforms your LG Smart TV into an all-in-one audio hub. Users can enjoy a curated blend of news, sports, music, and more, all from the comfort of their home.

Bucking the TV audio trend

Historically, consumer tech companies often launch music services only to pivot to partnerships with existing streaming platforms. LG’s approach is different. By collaborating with Radioline from the outset, LG ensures its users have immediate access to an extensive library of ad-supported podcasts and live radio programs.

Limited rollout

Currently, LG Radio+ is available only in the US and South Korea. With over 14,500 channels in the US and 440 channels in South Korea, the service provides seamless access to a diverse selection of content.

Whether you’re into talk shows, sports coverage, or music, LG Radio+ has you covered.
