Beats by Dre collaborates with Kim Kardashian once again, releasing the Beats Studio Pro in her three signature neutral colors.

In 2022, Beats collaborated with Kim Kardashian, with the special edition release of the Beats Fit Pro earbuds in three neutral colors: Moon, Dune and Earth. Now, once again, the two are partnering, bringing these same three colors to the last year’s Beats Studio Pro.

Beyond the new colors, the Beats Studio Pro are exactly the same as those that launched in July 2023. The Studio Pro are Beats’ flagship over-ear, wireless, ANC headphones, that launched for $350.

The headline feature of the Beats Studio Pro is Active Noise Cancelling. There’s Transparency Mode too, when you need to stay aware of your surroundings. There’s also support for Personalized Spatial Audio with dynamic head tracking, which gives a 360-degree, surround sound-like experience. In terms of battery life, you’ll get 24 hours of listening with ANC turned on. Turn ANC off for 40 hours of playback. A 10-minute charge is good for 4 hours of playback.

Around the headphones there are physical buttons for music, call, volume, listening modes, EQ modes, power and pairing controls. There’s two ports on the Beats Studio Pro: a 3.5mm audio jack and USB-C. The USB-C port is used for charging, but can also be used for Lossless audio. When listening via USB-C, users can switch between three sound profiles, which enhances music, movies/games and calls/podcasts.

As an Apple subsidiary, one of the unique things about Beats headphones is the compatibility with both Apple and Android devices. While any Bluetooth headphones can connect with any Bluetooth device, Beats by Dre go a step further by supports both operating systems’ smart features. On the Apple side, you’ll get features like one-touch pairing, “Hey Siri” and Finy My support. On Android, there’s Google Fast Pair, Find My Device, Audio Switch, and an app for customization and software updates, both of which are built into Apple.

This product launch comes with a new “Beats x Kim Studio Pro” Apple Music playlist, which features both throwback jams and today’s hottest hits.

The special edition Beats Studio Pro are available in U.S., Canada, Mexico, the UK, France, Germany, Japan, China, South Korea, Hong Kong, and Thailand, on the Apple website and Apple Store for the same $349.99 as the other colors. A carry case, USB-C to USB-C cable and 3.5mm audio cable are all included in the box.

However the interesting part comes when we look at third-party retailers. Being a year old, Amazon has the Beat Studio Pro in the old colors on sale for $199.99, which I’ll remind you is the exact same product internally as Kim’s version. That’s a massive $150 cheaper than the new ones. Apple and Beats often use the tactic of releasing new colors mid-product cycle to drive renewed interested in older products.

At $199.99, Beats Studio Pro are a great option, especially if you want the best of both worlds, with smart features on both Apple and Android devices. At $349.95 for Kim Kardashian’s Beats Studio Pro, unless you’re a diehard Kardashian fan or NEED these new colors, you’re better off looking elsewhere. Sony’s flagship WH-1000XM5’s are currently on sale for $298, or you can pick up Bose’s top-of-the-line QuietComfort Ultra headphones for $349.
