Deezer partners exclusively with Azerion for Brazilian ad sales
Deezer has teamed up with Azerion to take over ad sales in Brazil and improve the listener experience.
Back in June 2025, Deezer and Azerion began a new ad‑sales partnership that’s exclusive to Brazil. Now, for the first time, Deezer has handed over all its audio and video ad sales in the country to a single company. This is a big change in how Deezer runs ads in Brazil.
According to an announcement from Deezer, Azerion now handles every Deezer ad in Brazil. That covers both audio ads like before songs and video ads that might appear during podcasts or playlists. It shows real trust – Deezer wouldn’t do this unless it planned to work closely and for a long time with Azerion.
Deezer has millions of active users in Brazil and a deep connection to the country’s music culture. That means it can offer advertisers a “high‑impact inventory, emotionally engaged audiences, and culturally relevant content across music and podcasts.” The free (ad‑supported) version of Deezer is performing strongly. It’s now a key place for brands to reach listeners more deeply.
This latest move follows a string of platform improvements aimed at strengthening listener engagement, such as customisable algorithms and cross-platform music sharing tools. Deezer’s new feature rollouts earlier in 2025 reflect its commitment to giving users more control and richer insights into their listening habits.
The new deal also includes integration with Azerion’s Hawk platform – their own demand-side platform. Through it, advertisers can plan, activate and optimise campaigns using detailed audience targeting, automated deals and real-time performance data. This not only helps brands run smarter campaigns but also supports Deezer in creating more personalised and seamless ad experiences. That aligns with Deezer’s broader push toward smarter platform tools, such as their move to label AI-generated music on their platform, aimed at transparency and listener trust.
Azerion and Deezer have worked together in Europe before and saw strong results. Now, this Brazilian agreement marks a key step in Azerion’s expansion across Latin America. It reflects Azerion’s ambition in one of the fastest‑growing digital audio markets. And for Deezer, this could support further ad growth after a solid quarter, despite subscriber numbers slipping slightly. If you missed it, Deezer’s Q1 2025 performance highlighted increasing ad revenue and platform innovation as key trends.
Azerion’s Chief Business Officer Mickael Ferreira said: “This exclusive partnership with Deezer in Brazil is a testament to Azerion’s ability to deliver value at scale for both publishers and advertisers. It reflects our global vision to build strong, local partnerships that combine premium content, technological excellence, and commercial expertise. Brazil is a key market for us, and we’re excited to unlock new opportunities for brands through this collaboration.”
And Deezer’s Chief Commercial Officer Julien Delbourg added: “We’re excited to take this next step with Azerion, a trusted partner that understands the unique strengths of the Deezer platform and our audience… This partnership strengthens our ability to deliver impactful advertising solutions while continuing to prioritise a high‑quality experience for our listeners.”
Overall, the new arrangement gives Deezer a streamlined way to grow ad revenue in Brazil using Azerion’s tech, while Azerion gets a stronger foothold in Latin America. It also promises advertisers a smoother, better‑targeted ad experience tied directly into Deezer’s passionate Brazilian audience.
