Deezer adds new tools for a more personalized user experience
Deezer is rolling out fresh customization and layout controls, giving listeners more ways to make the app feel like home.
More personalization tools for Deezer users
Deezer is dialing up the personalization. The platform has introduced two new features that let users tweak both the look and layout of the app, making the listening experience feel a lot more personal.
It’s all part of Deezer doubling down on its identity as a music experience platform, not just a streaming service. With these updates, users can tailor the visual look of the app, and more easily jump into your favorite artists, playlists, and tracks in an instant.
“At Deezer, we’re always pushing forward to deliver a personalized music experience. We’re committed to give music fans greater control and customization options, and as part of this ambition it’s now possible to change the look and layout of the app to match your style and mood making it truly yours.”

Make your Deezer interface your own
The update gives listeners a handful of ways to personalize the Deezer interface. It lets users change the look of their app with small tweaks to suit what feels natural to them. You can now:
- Choose a color or theme for their interface.
- Select creative app icon layouts on iOS and Android.
- Add custom playlist stickers to show off personal music tastes or celebrate seasonal moments.
Quick access to your favorite artists
Deezer’s new ‘Quick Access’ feature gives listeners a shortcut straight to their favorite music. From now on, you can find your favorite artists, albums, playlists, podcasts, tracks, and Flows at the top of your homepage.
It works by using your listening habits to suggest what you’ll most want to play when you open the app. But, it’s more than just that. Users can manually pin or rearrange what appears, ensuring they have complete control over the content they first see when opening Deezer.
Why this matters for the music industry
For the music industry, Deezer’s move is another signal of where streaming is heading. Music streaming is a competitive landscape, and personalization is becoming a focus. That makes it a smart move for Deezer. As users customize, they may feel more at home on the app, perhaps making them less likely to switch to another streaming service.
For Deezer users, these updates might seem small, but extra personalization can go a long way to improving the listener experience. You can dive into both of these features now, available across all devices.
