Portuguese footballer Cristiano Ronaldo launched his new YouTube channel just one week ago and has now passed 50 million subscribers!

Cristiano Ronaldo, widely regarded as one of the greatest football players of all time, is also one of the most successful personalities across social media. In November 2022, Ronaldo was the first person to reach half a billion followers on Instagram. Today @cristiano is the most-followed person on Instagram with 637 million followers. Along with his X and Facebook following, Ronaldo almost reaches one billion followers across accounts. Now, Ronaldo is continuing this online success with the launch of his YouTube channel.

Ronaldo launched the @cristiano YouTube channel on August 21, immediately dropping 12 videos. After just 90 minutes, the channel was the fastest to reach one million subscribers. By hour four, Ronaldo hit 5 million subscribers. Ronaldo’s channel also received the most subscribers in 24 hours, with over 19 million subscribers. Ronaldo was presented with a one million subscriber plaque for the achievement.


One week on from the launch, Cristiano Ronaldo has just surpassed 50 million subscribers, placing his as the 66th most subscribed channel of all time. There are 22 uploads on the channel (including Shorts), each with over a million views, collectively holding 282 million views.
