Bandcamp has confirmed more events where artists can get more revenue from every sale they make.

Bandcamp has confirmed that its popular Bandcamp Friday promotion will return in 2026 with a total of eight events spread across the year. The announcement was shared by Bandcamp its last week, bringing welcome news for artists and fans alike.

Bandcamp Fridays first launched in March 2020 during the pandemic, when live venues closed and touring came to a sudden halt. What began as a short-term response quickly became a long-running tradition on the platform. As Bandcamp explains, “Bandcamp Fridays began in March of 2020 when the pandemic shut down venues and paused touring. What started as a crisis response has grown into one of our most impactful traditions.”

On Bandcamp Fridays, the platform waives its revenue share so artists and labels receive more money from every sale. Over time, this has added up in a big way. In fact, Bandcamp shared that over the last five years, these events have contributed more than $150 million to independent artists and musicians all over the world.

Looking ahead to next year, Bandcamp has now confirmed the eight dates for 2026. They will take place on:

  • February 6th
  • March 6th
  • May 1st
  • August 7th
  • September 4th
  • October 2nd
  • November 6th
  • December 4th

Many of the 2026 dates fall in the second half of the year. As noted by Music Ally, this back-loaded schedule likely reflects how music sales often increase later in the year, showing that there is clear planning behind the timing.

With all dates now confirmed well in advance, there is plenty of time to plan releases, campaigns, and merch drops around these key sales moments. Fans also have more chances than ever to directly support the music they love.
