Apple Music iOS 18.1 tests share to TikTok button
Apple is testing a new feature which allows Apple Music listeners to share music directly from their app to TikTok
In the latest iOS 18.1 beta, Apple is testing a new feature that allows Apple Music listeners to share their favorite tracks directly to TikTok with just a single tap. While much of the buzz surrounding iOS updates has focused on Apple Intelligence, this new integration is set to enhance the music-sharing experience for Apple Music and TikTok users.
With this new feature, listeners can tap a “share” button within the Apple Music app, which automatically launches TikTok. From there, users will have the option to share their music as a photo, video, or private message. The song will be automatically linked within the TikTok post, streamlining the sharing process and making it easier for creators to share what they’re listening to with their followers.
It looks like this integration will be similar to that of Apple Music’s current sharing option for Instagram Stories, making it familiar and easy to use for those who already share music across other social platforms.
The addition of this feature reflects TikTok’s continued efforts to deepen its relationship with streaming services. It follows the recent announcement of the “Add to App” feature, which allows TikTok users to add songs they discover on the platform to their preferred streaming service. This development also comes on the heels of the closure of TikTok Music.
