Instagram is rolling out Music On Profile to all users worldwide, allowing anyone to add music to their profile, an opportunity for artists!

After tests earlier this year in Brazil, Colombia, Great Britain, Japan, Thailand, India and Indonesia, Instagram’s Music On Profile feature is now launching globally. Tracks added are displayed under your bio. Visitors can tap to play your chosen 30-second clip of your chosen track. Thankfully songs don’t autoplay. Users can tap through to find Reels using the track.

With RouteNote, users can upload their own music to stores, streaming services and social media platforms for free! When you choose to distribute to Facebook, your music will be available on Facebook Stories, Facebook Reels, Instagram Stories, Instagram Reels and on profiles.

Sabrina Carpenter recently used the feature to tease her new single ahead of its release.

With the help of RouteNote, Music On Profile is a fantastic promotional tool for musicians. You could even demo an upcoming track by creating a copy of your release and setting an earlier release date just for social platforms.
