ADAM Audio has launched the D3V Desktop Monitors for music producers, songwriters and audio enthusiasts.

The D3V brings ADAM Audio’s acclaimed sound quality in a compact, active pair of speakers. ADAM’s new D3Vs offer the same flexibility, high fidelity, and ease of use that the manufacturer is renowned for while maintaining the brands’ hallmark industrial design heritage.

At the heart of the D3V are its 3.5” aluminium woofers driven by 80W amplifiers.

These woofers are complemented by dual-sided passive radiators which extend the bass response, reportedly down to 45 Hz.

Consequently, these D3Vs promise to deliver clarity and depth often absent in compact desktop speakers.

Combined with ADAM Audio’s infamous 1.5” D-ART (Desktop Accelerated Ribbon Tweeter), which produces crystal clear high frequencies, the D3V delivers an audio experience that stays true to the brand’s high-end monitoring systems.

The D3V system is notable for its user-friendly design and wide connectivity options. It features a direct USB-C input for seamless plug-and-play with computers, smartphones and even tablets.

This makes it easier to enjoy high-quality audio playback without the compression typically found with desktop speakers. The D3V also has balanced ¼” TRS ports for an audio interface connection.

ADAM Audio has also addressed room acoustics and speaker placement with several DSP switches on the backplate. These controls allow you to compensate for desk size, room position and acoustic treatment and make it easier to tailor the sound to your environment.

Additional conveniences include a front-facing headphone output which automatically disables the speakers when headphones are plugged in and a volume knob that also functions as a control for input selection and muting.

The D3V system comes equipped with detachable stands angled at 15° to direct sound toward the listener’s ears, along with microphone stand mounting options for more professional setups. The injection-moulded cabinet design ensures minimal vibrations and unwanted resonance, and its sleek, rounded shape enhances sound quality while preserving ADAM Audio’s signature aesthetic.
