Music Listeners Aren’t Listening to the Top 500 Artists They Are Streaming More and More Independent Artists and Labels
Recent BuzzAngle report showed that top 500 streamed tracks in the USA were up just 4% last year. This is hugely down from the overall streaming count that was up 42%.
Consumers are now consuming more music than ever before and the music they are consuming is not your standard Pop Chart hits or even the top 500 tracks in streaming services in general. Its the longtail! All the independent artists and labels around the world in all genres.
