RouteNote Licensing launches new subscription models
Our subscription music licensing service has refreshed its pricing models to offer creators high quality sounds at affordable prices.
RouteNote Licensing launched in November 2025, giving creators affordable access to thousands of tracks from hundreds of artists, composers and sound designers, for use across social media, podcasts, websites and more, without fear of copyright claims.
New RouteNote Licensing pricing tiers
RouteNote Licensing are refreshing their subscription models, with two new options:
- Free Creator – $0
- Limited catalog
- 3 music downloads/month
- 20 sound effects downloads/month
- Perpetual licenses
- No copyright claims – music attribution required
- Earn free credits with attribution
- Creator Plus – $7.99/month or $59.99/year
- Full catalog
- Unlimited downloads
- Perpetual licenses
- No copyright claims
- No attribution required
Free RouteNote Licensing users are now automatically Free Creator members and actively earning their free credits. Subscribers to our legacy Music and Sound Effect tiers will be honoured. Login to your RouteNote Licensing account to upgrade to a Creator Plus subscription today.
How copyright works for RouteNote Licensing tracks
Creator Plus subscribers submit their social profiles for allowlisting, which enables instant unlimited use across channels, with no risk of claims from the moment of upload.
Free Creators can download and use any eligible track from RouteNote Licensing, but their content may be claimed automatically by the rightsholder. Free Creators can include attribution to release claims. Once attribution has been given, please use this submission form to release claims. Claims are released around 48 hours after submission.
Free credits with attribution for Free Creators
You’ll find attribution snippets on the download page of each track, making providing attribution as simple as copy and pasting. Snippets look like this:

For every correct attribution, Free Creators will earn one free credit. With three free music credits per month and an additional free credit for every submitted attribution, this gives creators endless access to eligible RouteNote Licensing tracks. Unused credits expire at the end of each month, so be sure to login frequently and use them while available.
Free Creators can use multiple tracks in one piece of content, such as a video, but must provide attribution for all included tracks. One free credit is awarded per one piece of public content.
