TDM. Neo headphones twist into a Bluetooth speaker
TDM.’s Neo headphones use a flexible design and four 40mm drivers to switch from private listening to a portable Bluetooth speaker, with 200+ hours of headphone battery life.
What if your headphones could become a speaker without needing to pack another device?
That’s the idea behind the TDM. Neo, a new pair of wireless headphones from Tomorrow Doesn’t Matter. Rather than simply rotating its earcups, the Neo headphones twist into a compact speaker, exposing a second pair of drivers that can play your music out into the room.
Following its debut at CES 2026 and a successful Kickstarter campaign, the Neo is now available for $249.
You can watch how it works here.
Design and functionality
The TDM. Neo looks like a fairly conventional pair of over-ear headphones, albeit with ear cups that look slightly larger than usual. Yet, its flexible headband and rotating earcups give the headphones a rather cool second purpose.
Twisting the flexible headband changes the listening mode, and you can customise what happens through TDM.’s app. Auto Switch moves between headphone and speaker modes, while Pause & Resume can pause your music when you open the headphone. There is also Power Down Mode which powers the headphones down completely when twisted.
You can also leave the Neo in Speaker Mode and wear it around your neck when sharing music.
Sound quality
The clever part of the design is what happens inside the earcups. Within them, the headphones house four precision-tuned 40mm drivers. Two drivers face inwards for headphone listening, while the other two face outwards which only become active when the headphones are transformed into speaker mode. The outward drivers are rated at 5W each.
TDM. has also fitted dual amplifiers and let users create separate EQ profiles through its app, so you can adjust the sound for headphone and speaker modes independently.

Audio and connectivity
The TDM. Neo supports Bluetooth 6 with multipoint pairing, alongside SBC and AAC codecs. There’s also a 3.5mm AUX input, giving you a wired listening option.
It also features built-in multi-array microphones, voice assistant support and environmental noise cancellation for calls.
The TDM. app handles EQ adjustments, firmware updates and twist-mode controls, while a built-in tracking feature can help locate the headphones if they go missing.
Battery life
Battery life is another standout feature.
TDM. claims 200+ hours of playback in headphone mode and 16+ hours in speaker mode, which is rather impressive. USB-C fast charging can provide up to eight hours of listening from five minutes of charging, while the battery module itself is replaceable.

Pricing and availability
The TDM. Neo is available in black or white for $249 via TDM.’s online store and Amazon, with a carrying case included.
For anyone who regularly moves between listening alone and sharing music with others, the TDM. Neo is a refreshingly innovative two-in-one alternative to carrying both headphones and a portable speaker.
