Beats 360 headphones bring customisable cushions and powerful ANC
Beats has introduced Beats 360, a new flagship over-ear headphone with interchangeable ear and headband cushions, adaptive noise cancellation and IPX4 water resistance.
Beats latest over-headphones have arrived. Beats 360 is designed to be more than a new pair of over-ear headphones. The company has built customisation into the hardware itself, allowing users to swap the ear cushions and headband cushion for different colours and materials.
Alongside the customisable design, Beats is introducing its most advanced Active Noise Cancellation system yet, a new acoustic platform, personalised Spatial Audio and up to 32 hours of battery life.
At $349.99 in the US, Beats 360 sits firmly in the premium over-ear headphone market, competing with established options from Sony, Bose and others.

A more flexible over-ear design
The biggest difference between Beats 360 and most headphones is the interchangeable cushion system.
The headphones come with Performance Knit cushions as standard. These use memory foam wrapped in a breathable knit material designed to feel light and help manage moisture. Users can also buy UltraPlush cushions, which use engineered leather for a softer feel during longer listening sessions.
That distinction could make Beats 360 particularly flexible for people who use the same headphones in different environments. The Performance Knit option is designed with exercise and stability in mind, while UltraPlush is geared more towards extended everyday listening.
The headphones themselves use a redesigned balanced-fit architecture intended to spread weight and pressure more evenly across the head. They also fold flat and come with a woven ripstop fabric case.
Meanwhile, physical controls are built into the earcups rather than relying entirely on touch controls. The right side handles volume and playback, while the left includes power and listening-mode controls.

Sound and noise cancellation
Inside, Beats 360 uses a new acoustic architecture with custom-designed drivers, three-layer diaphragms and dual neodymium magnets. Beats says the system is designed to deliver stronger bass, greater detail and low distortion across the frequency range.
Adaptive EQ continuously adjusts the sound based on how the headphones fit, while Active Noise Cancellation is designed to reduce external noise. Transparency mode provides the opposite approach, allowing surrounding sounds back in when needed.
Beats also includes Personalised Spatial Audio with dynamic head tracking and Dolby Atmos. The sensors inside the headphones track head movement, allowing compatible spatial audio content to respond as you move.
Built for more than the commute
Beats has given the 360 an IPX4 rating. That means the headphones are protected against water splashes and sweat, making them better suited to workouts and active use than many conventional over-ear models. They are not waterproof, but the rating provides some additional protection against the moisture that comes with exercise or unexpected rain.

Battery life and connectivity
Beats 360 offers up to 32 hours of battery life, including with Adaptive EQ, while Beats says up to 32 hours is also available with ANC and Personalised Spatial Audio enabled. USB-C Fast Fuel charging provides up to an hour of playback from a five-minute charge.
Connectivity is designed to work across both Apple and Android. Beats 360 uses Bluetooth 5.3 and supports features including automatic switching, Audio Sharing and Find My on Apple devices, alongside Fast Pair, Audio Switch and Find Hub on Android.
Beats 360 price and availability
Beats 360 are available to order now on Amazon for $349.
The headphones launch in Black, Cloud, Pink and Sky, with matching Performance Knit cushions included. Additional cushion kits are available in six Performance Knit colours, while UltraPlush versions come in Black and Cloud. Standard US pricing for additional kits is $49.99, although a limited introductory offer reduces this to $9.99 in selected markets.
For Beats, the 360 represents a shift towards making premium headphones more adaptable to different parts of everyday life. The interchangeable cushions are the headline feature, but IPX4 protection, long battery life, cross-platform connectivity and improved noise cancellation make it a more versatile proposition than a cosmetic refresh alone.
And with the ability to change how the headphones look and feel without replacing the whole pair, Beats is taking a slightly different approach to the increasingly competitive premium headphone market.
