Spotify has introduced Fitness, providing Peloton classes and workout content from popular creators.

Spotify has added yet another string to its bow, moving into the world of fitness and workout experiences. The platform has introduced guided workout experiences directly within the app, bringing exercise content into the same space as music, podcasts, audiobooks, and video.

The new feature aims to make time spent on Spotify feel decidedly intentional and mindful. Rather than simply listening in the background, users can now turn to Spotify for movement, motivation, and well-being.

What’s included in Spotify Fitness?

Both Free and Premium users now have access to dozens of curated workout playlists, alongside content from well-known wellness creators. Spotify named creators including Yoga with Kassandra, Caitlin K’eli Yoga, Sweaty Studio, Chloe Ting Home Workouts, Pilates Body by Raven, Abi Mills Wellness, and Sophiereidfit.

For Premium subscribers in supported markets, Spotify has also partnered with Peloton to offer a growing catalogue of more than 1,400 ad-free, on-demand classes included within an existing subscription. These classes cover a range of activities, including strength, cardio, yoga, meditation, outdoor runs, and mat-based sessions.

According to Spotify, no specialist equipment is required for any of the new Fitness classes, helping make the workouts easier to fit into daily life.

How can users access Fitness on Spotify?

Eligible Premium users in supported markets can access Peloton classes and the wider Fitness hub in a few simple steps:

  1. Open the Spotify app on mobile, desktop, or a TV device.
  2. Search for “fitness” in the app.
  3. Open the Fitness hub, or find it through the Browse All section.
  4. Explore classes, curated playlists, and sessions based on mood or goals.

Spotify says workouts are mainly available in English, with selected options in Spanish and German. Some classes can also be downloaded for offline access, allowing you to get your sweat on wherever you may be.

Why is Spotify launching Fitness now?

This launch is based on habits Spotify users already have. According to the company, nearly 70% of Premium subscribers work out monthly. Spotify also says more than 150 million fitness playlists are currently active around the world, used for motivation, recovery, and focus.

That shows music already plays a major role in workouts, making fitness a natural next move for the platform. Bringing classes and guided sessions directly into the app could also create more moments for listeners to discover music during exercise routines and daily wellness habits.

Roman Wasenmüller, VP, Global Head of Podcasts at Spotify, said, “For nearly two decades, Spotify has been the soundtrack to the world’s workouts.” He went on to say, “But listening was only the beginning. Today, we are expanding Spotify to become a true daily wellness companion. By bringing thousands of creators and partners like Peloton directly into our video and audio ecosystem, we are investing in a future where Spotify isn’t just where you spend your time—it’s where you go to build momentum, improve your wellbeing, and get more out of every day.”

Spotify’s move into fitness is a practical expansion based on how people already use the platform for exercise and motivation. By combining workouts, playlists, and guided classes in one app, it creates more listening opportunities for music and gives users another reason to stay engaged with the platform.
