Deezer Next program returns for 2026
Once again, Deezer is offering real-world and in-app support for emerging French-speaking artists through its Deezer Next program.
Deezer Next returns
Deezer is bringing back Deezer Next for 2026, putting a spotlight on three up-coming French-speaking artists. At its core, Deezer Next is an artist development program. It aims to push rising talent through increased visibility and artist support, helping to grow their careers long-term.
2026’s edition builds on Deezer Next’s previous support of Marguerite, Miki, RnBoi, and R2. Now, three new acts step into the spotlight for 2026.
Meet the Deezer Next 2026 artists
This year’s selection brings three different artists, with their own unique sounds. As Deezer puts it, their selection embodies the “eclecticism, creativity, and music renewal” that shape today’s music scene.
“To kick off 2026, we are delighted to announce the arrival of Timar, Fallon, and Heroe to our Deezer Next program. We look forward to continuing to support their development throughout the year, in the app, on social media, and beyond, and we can’t wait to see them reach new audiences.”
Georges Derval, Head of Editorial, Discovery, and Trends, in charge of the Deezer Next program
Here’s a little look at them all:
Timar
A rapper that delves into raw and deep topics through visceral lyricism and tightly crafted production. His debut project, REQUIEM, set the tone to reveal the full extent of his artistic potential.
Fallon
Fallon blends her Caribbean heritage with a modern twist fitting of pushing the boundaries of today’s urban pop landscape. She’s shaping a fusion of R&B and bouyon called “RnBouyon”, that balances softness and energy. Tracks like “Normal” and “Memories” already show her strong sense of identity as an artist.
Heroe
Normandy-based Heroe operates into the world of bedroom pop, blending guitar with indie tones and his French and Arabic influences. It’s the kind of intimate music that sticks with listeners.
How Deezer Next supports artists
Deezer Next is designed to put the selected artists firmly in the spotlight. Selected artists benefit from major in-app visibility, such as featuring on the homepage and being included in a dedicated Deezer Next editorial playlist. That level of promotion can drive a huge amount of discovery, particularly important for developing acts still building their audience base.
Support doesn’t stop there though. Artists are also amplified across Deezer’s social channels. Plus, Deezer Next artists can access performance opportunities at partner festivals, as well as perform for superfans at the Purple Door Deezer next event in December. By doing so, Deezer is helping develop live performance skills, crucial to helping the long-term career growth of an artist.
