Global non-profit music industry organisation, IFPI has unveiled the best-selling albums of 2024, based on worldwide figures across formats.
The International Federation of the Phonographic Industry has announced their annual award for the Global Recording Artist of the Year 2024. With this, the IFPI are breaking down the best-selling artists, albums and singles of 2024. This information is based on worldwide data of downloads, physical formats, and free and paid streaming, across the calendar year.
The Global Album Chart requires a minimum of five tracks to qualify as an album, excluding remixes or alternative versions.
Taylor Swift’s eleventh studio album THE TORTURED POETS DEPARTMENT was the best-selling album of 2024. This release also topped IFPI’s Global Album Chart, Global Vinyl Album Chart, Global Streaming Album Chart and Global Album Sales Chart. Taylor Swift was also the best-selling artist of 2024.
