In the 20 years since its launch, YouTube has changed the entertainment industry forever. Today, the video sharing platform is available in more than 100 countries and 80 languages, with billions of monthly viewers and over a billion hours of video consumed each day. The map below shows the global popularity of YouTube over the past decade+.
YouTube’s latest Culture & Trends Report highlights some of the biggest moments, including a visual representation of notable points, such as new types of content, viewer and subscriber milestones, broken records, feature launches, as well as significant trends, creators and videos.
