CTS Eventim reports a 19.1% revenue boost in 2024, strengthening its grip on the live entertainment industry.

CTS Eventim, has unveiled its financial results for the fiscal year 2024, showing their growth and industry advancements. The company’s consolidated revenue grew to €2.809 billion, marking a 19.1% increase compared to the previous year. Adjusted EBITDA also experienced a substantial rise of 21.9%, reaching €542.2 million.

A significant contributor to this growth has been CTS Eventim’s proactive approach to international acquisitions. In June 2024, the company acquired See Tickets from Vivendi for €300 million, increasing its presence in the UK and US markets. This acquisition not only expanded CTS Eventim’s geographical footprint but also integrated a well-established ticketing platform into its portfolio.

Further extending its reach in Latin America, CTS Eventim acquired Chile’s Punto Ticket and Peru’s Teleticket in November 2023.

Additionally, in December 2024, CTS Eventim increased its stake in France Billet, obtaining majority control. This move is expected to enhance the company’s influence in the French ticketing market, aligning with its strategy of strengthening its presence in key European territories.

The Ticketing segment witnessed a revenue increase of 22.7%, amounting to €879.9 million. Adjusted EBITDA for this segment rose by 21.1% to €416.5 million. The company reported selling 103.4 million tickets online in 2024, up from 82.9 million the previous year, reflecting a growing consumer preference for digital ticketing solutions.

In the Live Entertainment segment, revenue climbed by 17.6% to €1.971 billion, while adjusted EBITDA increased by 24.4% to €125.6 million. This growth occurred despite challenges such as rising costs in infrastructure, personnel, and fees, underscoring the segment’s resilience and operational efficiency.

Klaus-Peter Schulenberg, CEO of CTS Eventim, attributed the company’s robust performance to a combination of rising demand, organic growth, synergies from acquisitions, and a successful international expansion strategy. He emphasized that the integration of technologies, processes, and business models has positioned CTS Eventim to effectively assimilate future acquisitions and realize synergies more rapidly.

Looking ahead, CTS Eventim is set to open Arena Milano, which will be Italy’s largest arena, and a new venue in Vienna, for which the company secured the tender in late 2024. These developments are anticipated to further enhance the company’s footprint in the live entertainment sector.

The company projects a moderate increase in both total revenue and adjusted EBITDA for 2025, contingent upon stable macroeconomic conditions. This outlook reflects CTS Eventim’s commitment to sustained growth and its strategic focus on expanding its global presence in the live entertainment and ticketing industry.
