Marina And The Diamonds Family Jewels Tour is alive and healthy with a solid performance last night (19th May) in London’s Bloomsbury Ballroom with a second this evening to start off a run of 20 dates all over the UK. The video is for all to enjoy below. With breaks in the height of summer for a number of festival appearances granted, the tour and other dates continue right up to November. Wonderswan are a quartet from Leeds and they are just about to release a cassette tape EP (thats right!). The EP is called I Wish I Was Deep Instead of Just Macho on May 24th. We have embedded a track called Maple Syrup which is free to download. Let us know what you think.
Wolfmother have announced that the UK will be the first place they’ll entertain in the new year.
January 13th sees the Aussies begin their 7 date mini-tour in Dublin at the Olympia where they move on to Glasgow (14th), Newcastle (15th) , Manchester (17th), Leeds (18th), Birmingham (19th) and climax in London (21th) . Tickets go on sale from October the 23rd via the gigwise gig guide.
The tour is the first big attempt to launch the new album in the UK, Just before the band head back home to support AC/DC on the Black Ice tour. Some dates for the tour are already sold out, gigs dates and locations are all available from the bands officail site.
The arctic monkeys will play in london’s Brixton academy later this month on August 26th and tickets go on sale today (19th).
If your already on the bands mailing list you will have a ticket allocated to you an have 24 hours to register for your ticket. This needs to be done by mid-night tonight. Each successful applicant will be notified the following day (20th) and will be limited to two tickets each.
The one off show will be the first time that the Sheffield four-some will have played in the UK since December 2007. Roomers are circulating that the band will feature songs off their new album ‘Humbug’, which will be available to the general public two days prior to that, next week on August the 24th.
