YouTube’s automatic system provides artists with the power to keep track of their music on the world’s biggest video site. YouTube Content ID ensures that music is protected and artists make money from their music distribution.
We work closely with YouTube to ensure that all artists receive money every time their music is used in a video. Content ID provides artists with an extra revenue stream and allows creators to use music in their videos legally - everybody wins!
Content ID is used by platforms like Facebook and YouTube to recognise the music in all the videos uploaded to their websites. It ensures that any time music is used, artists and labels are getting their cut of the revenues as well as a proper credit for their tracks.
Artists can easily protect their music and earn revenues on the two biggest video sites in the world. We don’t charge a fee, so you can simply upload your tracks to us and select Facebook and YouTube to get paid for every use of your music in videos.
RouteNote Premium is our best offering for artists looking to make the most of their music when it’s distributed worldwide. Here are just some of the reasons why so many artists love Premium for their music releases.
YouTube’s automatic system will scan every video to ensure that whenever your song is featured as a soundtrack, you get your rightful cut. Even if the channel using your music isn’t eligible for monetisation, YouTube will monetise your music on your behalf.
We’ve worked with YouTube and Facebook for years to credit creators around the world and ensure they’re paid for their work. We know that people have a lot of questions about Content ID and how it works for both artists and video creators.
No, Content ID claims are not copyright strikes. Whilst a copyright strike can potentially lead to a creator’s channel and content being taken down, Content ID will never have an affect on content beyond where the revenue goes.
Unfortunately we can’t distribute all music to Content ID. Any music that contains non-exclusive loops or samples, or is already available on Content ID in another release will not be eligible.
Your channel may be eligible for our Content ID Allow List, meaning you won’t receive claims on your channel. To find out if you’re eligible get in touch at support@routenote.com.
When a video is claimed with your tracks it won’t affect the creator’s channel or video. Content ID simply redirects the ad revenues generated on the video to the rights holders of the content they’ve used.
If the creator has permission to monetise the music in their video or if they feel the claim was made mistakenly they can dispute the claim through YouTube. Our dedicated team will investigate the claim and can release it for the creator.
