‘Overload’ is the double-title cypher from Round 1 of Super Rookie Challenge’s first Vocal Season. Seven singers share the track: blushii, CHOIJIJI, Paper Cup, YUL2, KEVIN PARK, Xinssy and Minjeong.

NiNE (Choi Su-jong) and IBAN produced the R&B beat. The hook is ‘Your love is like overload / Yeah, I just might overdrive tonight’, and each singer takes a part before passing it on.

Your love is like overload – seven voices, one hook.

Super Rookie Challenge has launched Korean artists since 2013, including punchnello, Cho Kwangil, Don Mills, YUNHWAY, SINCE, OVAN, ZENE THE ZILLA and EK. Nino of Black Soul is executive producer, and Sherpa Music manages the project.

Until now the project has run hip-hop seasons. This is its first round built around singers. The cypher came out as a live preview ahead of the Vocal Season 1 opening show at Prism Hall in Hapjeong. Play it on a late-night drive, or whenever you want to hear several voices share one hook.
