‘기분좋은날’ (A Good Day) opens ‘THE AOR PROJECT’, an eight-track album from Korean composer and keyboard player Sung Rak Choi (최성락). The album brings back the careful arrangements and refined harmony of 1980s and 1990s AOR.

‘기분좋은날’ is bright, trading the lines ‘오늘처럼 기분좋은날 모든게 달라보여’ – on a good day like today everything looks different – and ‘This is happy day, Your day my day’. 정양호 on drums and JC Curve on bass play live. The album mixes English songs such as ‘Drive My Car’, ‘Love Will Find a Way’ and ‘Morning Dance’ with Korean songs such as ‘Fly Away’.

Songs written 20 years ago, now on record.

Sung Rak Choi led fusion jazz group Watercolor and Brazilian pop jazz group Another Season, writing and arranging Another Season’s first album (2010) and second album ‘Samba Da Felicidade’ (2011). Most of these songs were written about 20 years ago, when Watercolor was starting out. Sung Rak Choi composed and arranged all eight, recorded, mixed and mastered them at Hanul Music Studio, and shared vocals with Chris M.
