Kilby Block Party has unveiled its 2027 lineup, bringing Deftones, The Strokes, Fontaines D.C., Slayyyter, Jungle and Lil Yachty to Salt Lake City.

The eighth edition takes place at Utah State Fairpark from 14–16 May 2027, with approximately 70 artists announced and more still to come.

Who is playing Kilby Block Party 2027?

Friday 14 May features Deftones and Fontaines D.C. at the top of the bill.

Saturday 15 May is led by The Strokes and Slayyyter.

Sunday 16 May features Jungle and Lil Yachty.

The wider programme includes IDLES, Spoon, Weyes Blood, Kim Gordon, Julien Baker, Hot Chip, Phantogram, Kurt Vile & The Violators, Silversun Pickups, Wednesday, Joyce Manor, Iceage, Wolf Parade, Ratboys, Mercury Rev and Atlas Sound.

It’s a particularly strong selection for fans whose listening habits move between indie rock, alternative pop, experimental music and hip-hop.

Deftones and Fontaines D.C. lead Friday

The combination of Deftones and Fontaines D.C. is particularly interesting.

Deftones have built an enduring audience through their combination of alternative metal, atmosphere and experimental production.

Fontaines D.C. have followed a very different trajectory, emerging from Irish post-punk before becoming a major international alternative rock act.

Having both at the top of the same day’s bill demonstrates how much the definition of alternative music has expanded.

Special album performances

Kilby Block Party also has two particularly useful performances for music fans.

Two Door Cinema Club are scheduled to perform Tourist History, while Whitney will celebrate the tenth anniversary of Light Upon the Lake.

Both bookings give fans the chance to revisit albums that helped establish those bands.
