Zerb and Sofiya Nzau’s huge track “Mwaki” now has an official animated video – and I’m loving the visual direction.

The animation gives the track a completely different feel, pairing the instantly recognisable vocals and hypnotic production with a colourful, distinctive visual style that really suits the song.

“Mwaki” already feels like one of those tracks that refuses to disappear, and this new animation gives fans another reason to come back to it.

Sometimes you don’t need an overcomplicated music video. A strong visual identity, a great song and something memorable can be more than enough.

And this one works.
