Treefort Music Fest has revealed its first major lineup for 2027, with Modest Mouse, Orville Peck and Courtney Barnett among the biggest names confirmed.

The festival returns to downtown Boise, Idaho from 31 March to 4 April 2027.

The 2027 edition celebrates Treefort’s 15th anniversary, with more than 180 artists already announced.

The first lineup wave arrived on 15 October 2026.

Who is playing Treefort Music Fest 2027?

The headline artists include Modest Mouse, Thee Sacred Souls, Orville Peck, Courtney Barnett, horsegiirL and Jesse Welles.

The supporting lineup features Slow Pulp, All Them Witches, LP Giobbi, Joy Oladokun, Kenny Mason, Enter Shikari, Eartheater, Sleaford Mods and Iceage.

Other notable performers include Thee Sinseers, The Altons, Los Mirlos, hey, nothing, Ratboys, Balance and Composure, Bully, Drug Church and Fenne Lily.

It’s an extremely eclectic lineup, spanning indie rock, alternative country, electronic music, hip-hop, soul, punk and experimental sounds.

Orville Peck and Courtney Barnett lead Thursday

Orville Peck and Courtney Barnett are scheduled to lead Thursday’s programme.

Peck has developed an international audience through his theatrical interpretation of country music.

His distinctive masked appearance and deep vocals have helped establish him as one of contemporary alternative country’s most recognisable performers.

Courtney Barnett brings a very different sound.

The Australian singer-songwriter is celebrated for her observational lyrics, guitar-driven indie rock and albums including Sometimes I Sit and Think, and Sometimes I Just Sit.

Their appearance on the same day demonstrates how widely Treefort moves between genres.

Modest Mouse return to Boise

Modest Mouse are another particularly significant booking.

The American indie-rock band have enjoyed decades of success, with songs including Float On, Dashboard and Ocean Breathes Salty becoming alternative favourites.

Their appearance should be one of the biggest draws for indie-rock audiences.

Thee Sacred Souls offer another interesting contrast.

The California trio have developed a following through their vintage-inspired soul music.

Treefort is much more than a normal music festival

Treefort spreads its programme across venues throughout downtown Boise rather than concentrating every performance at one location.

It also includes smaller events dedicated to film, comedy, art, technology, food, storytelling and other cultural activities.

That creates a festival built around discovering new artists and experiences.

For audiences who enjoy finding performers before they become major festival headliners, Treefort has developed a particularly strong reputation.
