Rock Werchter has revealed several major artists for its 2027 festival, with Muse, Sam Fender and Tame Impala among the biggest confirmed names.

The Belgian festival returns from 1–4 July 2027 at Festivalpark Werchter.

The latest announcement arrived on 21 October, when organisers confirmed that Sam Fender would headline the Main Stage on Saturday.

He joins Muse, Tame Impala, Angèle and sombr on the growing lineup.

Who is playing Rock Werchter 2027?

Five major artists have been confirmed so far.

Muse headline Friday 2 July.

Sam Fender headlines Saturday 3 July.

Tame Impala close the festival on Sunday 4 July, with Angèle and sombr also appearing on Sunday’s Main Stage.

The Thursday headline act has not yet been revealed.

Organisers have confirmed that many more artists will be announced before the festival.

Muse return to Rock Werchter

Muse are among the festival’s most significant bookings.

The British rock band first performed at Rock Werchter in 2000 and have returned numerous times as their international popularity has grown.

Their catalogue includes Starlight, Uprising, Supermassive Black Hole and Knights of Cydonia.

Muse are also recognised for their elaborate live productions, making them a natural fit for one of Europe’s biggest outdoor music festivals.

Their Friday headline appearance was confirmed on 13 October.

Sam Fender headlines Saturday

Sam Fender will close the Main Stage on Saturday 3 July.

The British singer-songwriter has grown from playing smaller venues to headlining major stadiums and festivals.

Songs including Seventeen Going Under, Hypersonic Missiles and People Watching have helped establish him as one of Britain’s biggest contemporary guitar artists.

His Rock Werchter appearance was announced alongside news of additional live performances planned for 2027.

For fans of contemporary British rock, Fender’s appearance will be one of the main attractions of the weekend.

Tame Impala and Angèle lead Sunday

Sunday brings together three artists with very different sounds.

Tame Impala will close the festival.

Kevin Parker’s project has become internationally successful through its distinctive mixture of psychedelic rock, pop and electronic production.

Angèle brings French-language pop to the Main Stage, following the release of her third album Instinct.

Rising singer-songwriter sombr also appears on Sunday.

His songs back to friends and undressed have introduced him to an enormous international audience.

The combination of Tame Impala, Angèle and sombr gives Sunday a particularly strong contemporary pop and alternative identity.

When is Rock Werchter 2027?

Rock Werchter takes place from Thursday 1 July through Sunday 4 July 2027 at Festivalpark Werchter in Belgium.

Ticket sales begin on Friday 30 October 2026.
