Post Malone fans can finally stream one of the projects that helped launch his career.

His debut mixtape August 26 has officially arrived on major streaming platforms for the first time, ten years after its original release.

The remastered version was officially released on August 26, 2026, with Post Malone’s own release page describing the project as “remastered and officially released.”

August 26 originally appeared on May 12, 2016, during a very different period in Post Malone’s career.

At the time, mixtape platforms such as DatPiff and music blogs still played an important role in breaking new hip-hop artists. Post Malone had already generated massive attention with “White Iverson”, but his debut studio album Stoney had not yet arrived.

Interestingly, the name August 26 referred to the date Stoney was originally expected to be released.

That didn’t happen.

Stoney eventually arrived in December 2016, but the August 26 name remained attached to the mixtape.

Now, exactly ten years later, that date has taken on a new meaning.

The remastered mixtape includes tracks such as:

The release is now appearing on platforms including Spotify and Qobuz, and physical editions have also been announced.

It’s an interesting snapshot of Post Malone before the enormous pop records, stadium tours and country crossover.

The Post Malone of August 26 was still closely connected to the internet-driven hip-hop scene that initially made him famous.

Ten years later, his career has moved across hip-hop, pop, rock and country.

Now fans can finally hear one of the projects that started everything without having to hunt through old mixtape websites or unofficial uploads.
