Who is playing Nova Rock 2027?

The confirmed programme includes Die Toten Hosen, The Smashing Pumpkins, Faith No More, Die Ärzte, Evanescence, Billy Talent and Slash featuring Myles Kennedy & The Conspirators.

Other major names include Motionless In White, Lorna Shore, Arch Enemy, Killswitch Engage, Bullet For My Valentine, Amon Amarth, Beartooth and I Prevail.

For punk and alternative fans, the lineup also features Dropkick Murphys, Simple Plan, Neck Deep, The Interrupters, Silverstein and Hot Milk.

Nothing But Thieves, Grandson, Jinjer, Static-X, Speed and Orbit Culture provide even more variety.

It is an exceptionally broad selection of rock, metal, punk and alternative music.

Faith No More return to the European festival circuit

One of the biggest attractions is Faith No More.

The influential alternative metal band developed a distinctive sound combining rock, metal, funk and experimental music.

Their presence gives Nova Rock one of its most interesting heritage alternative bookings.

The Smashing Pumpkins are another major name from the 1990s alternative era.

With a catalogue including 1979, Tonight, Tonight and Bullet with Butterfly Wings, the band bring some of the decade’s most recognisable alternative rock songs to Austria.

Die Ärzte and Die Toten Hosen represent German punk history

Nova Rock has always attracted substantial audiences from Austria and Germany.

The inclusion of both Die Ärzte and Die Toten Hosen gives the festival two particularly important German-language acts.

Both bands have enjoyed decades of success, developing large and loyal audiences through their distinctive approaches to punk rock.

Their presence alongside Faith No More, The Smashing Pumpkins and Evanescence creates an interesting balance between regional favourites and international performers.

Modern metal has a huge presence

The heavier side of the festival is equally impressive.

Lorna Shore, Arch Enemy, Motionless In White and I Prevail represent different approaches to contemporary metal.

Killing the same genre boundary, bands including Amon Amarth, Killswitch Engage and Jinjer bring established metal audiences into the wider event.

For fans who prefer melodic punk and alternative rock, Simple Plan, Neck Deep and Billy Talent provide an entirely different experience.

When is Nova Rock 2027?
