Some bands arrive; Cinnamon Jam kick the door open. ‘Someday, To You’ (언젠가는 너에게), the debut full-length from the Daegu four-piece, lands as a festival-ready statement of indie rock built for crowds—danceable grooves, four-part singalong harmonies, and hooks tight enough to carry a field. Released on May 29, it is the kind of first album that already sounds at home in the lineup texture of Korea’s rock festival circuit, the Incheon Pentaport Rock Festival included.

The quartet—Kim Eonsu on bass, Aaron French and Sohee on guitars, and Han Keonhee on drums—sharpened its chemistry on the boards of Club Heavy, Daegu’s landmark rock venue, and that live wiring runs through all twelve tracks. Anchored by the opener ‘We Are Cinnamon Jam’ and moving through ‘네가 사는 세상,’ ‘어릿광대,’ and ‘우리가 알던 세계의 종말,’ the album leans on guitar-driven arrangements where groove and harmony lock into the same hook.

Everyday feelings, played loud enough for a festival field.

The story sits in the artwork: a monochrome jacket of the band looking up from the bottom of a club stairway, the gaze of musicians facing the live scene head-on. After the 2023 single ‘After A Long Time’ and the 2024 EP ‘어릿광대 / 나루,’ ‘Someday, To You’ reads as the moment Cinnamon Jam stop climbing toward the stage and step onto it.

There is nothing bedroom about this record. Cinnamon Jam write for the room—the singalong, the jump, the shared chorus—and the songcraft holds up long after the festival lights go down. With a debut this assured, the four-piece plant a flag in Korea’s indie rock scene and dare you not to sing along. Press play and meet the band from the bottom of the stairs on their way up.
