Sam Fender has announced major changes to ticket prices for his upcoming 2027 stadium tour, following criticism from fans over the cost of attending his shows.

The Newcastle-born singer-songwriter confirmed that premium front-standing sections will be removed from his UK stadium concerts, meaning fans won’t have to pay extra for the opportunity to stand near the stage.

Instead, standard standing tickets will cost £85 before additional venue and booking fees.

The changes come ahead of his Proper Massive Stadium Tour, which includes performances at London’s Wembley Stadium, Newcastle’s St James’ Park and Manchester’s Etihad Stadium.

Here’s everything you need to know about the revised ticket prices, tour dates and upcoming ticket sales.

How much are Sam Fender 2027 tickets?

Sam Fender has confirmed the following revised face-value prices for his UK stadium tour:

  • Standing tickets: £85
  • Seated tickets: £55
  • Seated tickets: £75
  • Seated tickets: £95

These prices exclude venue and booking fees, as well as a £1 contribution per ticket to the LIVE Trust, which supports grassroots music venues.

Previously circulated ticket information suggested that some front-standing tickets could cost more than £120, with Wembley prices reportedly reaching approximately £130.

Fender publicly criticised the original pricing arrangements, saying he was unhappy with how expensive the tickets had become.

He subsequently confirmed that the premium front-standing sections had been removed.

The revised structure means fans buying standard standing tickets should have an equal opportunity to access the front of the standing area, subject to the usual venue arrangements.

Prices for the Dublin date may differ from the UK prices outlined above.

Why did Sam Fender change his ticket prices?

The changes followed complaints from fans who felt the originally proposed prices were too expensive.

Some of the strongest criticism concerned the decision to split stadium standing areas into different pricing categories.

Under those arrangements, fans who wanted to stand closest to the stage would have needed to purchase a more expensive ticket.

Fender responded publicly, explaining that the prices had risen beyond what he originally intended.

He also acknowledged the increasing costs of putting on major stadium concerts, while making it clear that he didn’t want those expenses to result in unnecessarily expensive standing tickets.

The changes have attracted attention partly because of the wider debate surrounding concert affordability.

As major artists increasingly perform at large stadiums, fans have become more concerned about dynamic pricing, premium standing areas and additional ticket fees.

Fender’s decision offers an alternative approach to how those experiences are priced.
