KISU spent six years inside the K-pop group 24K, releasing six EPs and a full-length album with the band and building the run around international touring. He went solo in 2021, and ‘Numbers’ arrives from that second career rather than the first.

The single sits in R&B and soul, built on sound design by producer Janghyun Park and guitar from Minkyu Kim. Guitar lines carry most of the melodic weight, and the arrangement leaves the vocal enough room to work at conversational volume rather than pushing for the bigger delivery a K-pop background might lead you to expect.

A career measured in cities, and a single that stops to count what it added up to.

The touring record explains the title better than any description of the sound does. A first European solo tour, festival invitations in France, Germany and Réunion Island, a nine-city run through the United States and a four-city French tour, plus dates in Vietnam, the Philippines and Brazil. He holds 258,000 followers on Instagram against 8,164 monthly listeners on Spotify, a gap that says the audience is in rooms rather than playlists.

‘Numbers’ turns that arithmetic inward, tracking personal experience and growth through melody instead of biography. Released through STARLIT, it reads as an artist taking stock in the middle of the work rather than at the end of it. Worth a listen if you follow Korean R&B.
