Yes.

Apple Music is one of the major streaming services supported through DistroKid.

For most artists, Apple Music should be treated as a core DSP alongside Spotify.

Your distributor sends Apple the recording and associated metadata.

This can include:

artist

song title

album title

artwork

contributors

release date

identifiers

Apple has built its own ecosystem around music.

That includes:

Apple Music

Shazam

spatial audio

synced lyrics

artist analytics

Siri

Apple devices

That means accurate metadata can have benefits beyond simply putting a track into a streaming app.

DistroKid also supports Dolby Atmos delivery as an optional extra.

The current charge is $26.99 per track.

Don’t assume every independent release needs Atmos.

A strong stereo master remains more important for most artists.

Musician Plus currently includes synced lyrics in Apple Music among its additional plan features.

Again, that’s a reminder to compare the plan you actually need rather than simply the entry-level price.

Yes, DistroKid distributes to Apple Music.

So do most serious music distributors.

Artists should therefore evaluate distributors using deeper factors:

cost

support

royalty collection

UGC

catalogue permanence

rights tools

analytics

Apple Music delivery itself should now be considered basic infrastructure.
