Yes.

DistroKid can deliver music into TikTok’s music ecosystem.

That gives creators the ability to discover and use eligible tracks in videos.

TikTok can turn tiny sections of music into global cultural moments.

Listeners may never hear your whole track before discovering a fifteen-second section.

That means social-platform distribution has become just as important as traditional DSP delivery for some genres.

This is crucial.

Getting your music into TikTok’s catalogue does not mean TikTok will promote it.

Distribution provides availability.

Marketing creates attention.

Artists still need:

creator outreach

short-form content

strong hooks

consistent posting

community participation

paid campaigns where appropriate

DistroKid also offers optional UGC monetisation through Social Media Pack.

That is separate from basic distribution and carries both an annual release-level fee and 20% share of the revenue generated through that service.

It should be supported.

But basic TikTok delivery has become table stakes for a serious music distributor.

The bigger question is what tools your distributor provides around:

UGC monetisation

analytics

fan conversion

rights management

marketing

Yes, DistroKid distributes to TikTok.

But simply appearing in TikTok’s library won’t make your song viral.

Distribution gets you through the door.

Audience strategy does the rest.
