Apple Music\u2019s AutoMix feature is becoming even more impressive with the release of iOS 27.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
First introduced with iOS 26, AutoMix uses artificial intelligence to create DJ-style transitions between songs. It analyses each track and uses techniques such as beat matching and time stretching to move smoothly from one song to the next.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
With iOS 27, Apple has improved these transitions to make them feel more natural, immersive and energetic.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The original version of AutoMix could sometimes rely on similar transition effects between different songs.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
In iOS 27, transitions are reportedly more varied and less abrupt. Apple Music can remix portions of a song\u2019s intro or outro, repeat sections where necessary and adjust the timing to help tracks with different tempos flow together more smoothly.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The result should make playlists feel closer to a professionally mixed DJ set rather than a collection of separate tracks.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
This could be especially useful when listening to workout playlists, dance music, road-trip soundtracks or music at parties.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Apple has also confirmed that the improved AutoMix experience will expand beyond the iPhone.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
