Originally developed and launched on Discord using Playroom\u2019s multiplayer technology, Karaoke Battle<\/em> stood out as a music-focused social party game where players compete in fun, interactive singing challenges. The acquisition also brings with it a music licensing partnership with Stingray, giving Little Umbrella direct access to licensed tracks that can be used within the game as it\u2019s expanded and evolved.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

According to Playroom and Little Umbrella CEO Tabish Ahmed<\/a>, this deal fits neatly into the company\u2019s broader ambition to build out a music- and rhythm-based game catalogue<\/em> that resonates with today\u2019s connected audiences. The plan is not just to continue supporting Karaoke Battle<\/em> on Discord, but to take it beyond its original platform \u2014 expanding it across new surfaces and devices.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cThe team is excited to bring it in-house and expand our portfolio with music- and rhythm-based games,\u201d Ahmed said, pointing to the potential for wider reach and deeper engagement.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

From the seller\u2019s side, Stefan Heinrich, co-founder and CEO of Mayk AI, shared his enthusiasm about finding the right long-term home for the title.
