About Song
‘Young-Hee’ dissects universal melancholy with surgical precision. The EP opens with ‘A Secret Even My Mom Doesn’t Know (우리 엄마도 모르는 비밀)’, where dark and cold emotions slowly surface. Finger pressed to lips, the song flows with deliberate patience—a quiet signal that what follows is “our secret.”
Second track ‘Narok (나락)’ explodes a bluesy intro into hooking choruses, showcasing frontman Sim Aisle’s masterful vocals backed by powerful instrumentation. After skit ‘Shh..’, comes ‘Should I See a Psychiatrist? (정신과에 가볼까)’—more direct, more chaotic. Confusion storms through all four minutes: some days only you feel normal, other days only you feel abnormal.
Title track ‘Bottomless Jar (밑 빠진 독)’ delivers SIMILE LAND’s honesty without detour. Pastoral sensitivity unfolds melancholy so refreshing you might ask “where’s the sadness here?” Following gentle opening passages and fairytale-like melodies from guitar and piano, the song reveals its protagonist—cursed like the daughters of Danaos in Greek mythology, eternally pouring water into a bottomless jar. Never questioning how the bottom broke. Never thinking to seal it. Moving only with greed to fill it completely.
Final track ‘Balloon’ strips down to piano, cello, and Sim Aisle’s voice—a vacuum space filled with sighs from someone who can’t tell if what flows on their face is tears or sweat, whether the greed that caused it belongs to them or someone else.

About Artists

SIMILE LAND is a five-piece Korean indie rock band formed in November 2023. Known as the “troublemakers” of the scene, they’ve earned this nickname through explosive, unrestrained live performances.
Within just one year, they proved rapid growth—winning 1st place at KT&G Sangsangmadang Band Discovery 2025, earning Bronze at Incheon Pentaport Rock Festival Super Rookie 2025, selected for Muse:On 2025, and winning 1st place at Gyeonggi Indie Music Festival [Indie:stance] 2024.
Named after the Korean textbook characters ‘Chulsoo, Younghee, Baduki’, SIMILE LAND’s music converges into universal emotion. Even when pretending to be slightly lethal, even when feeling like the saddest person alive, everything returns to the band’s core identity. Music that can’t help but give its best, even when trying not to.
When SIMILE LAND does melancholy, it’s this different. And this similar.
