About Song
‘MUSE’ is a 7-track album that revolves around the theme of love. Through these tracks, Jimin narrates a story of searching for love, experimenting with various approaches, and occasionally losing his way. The album’s message of love gradually builds up from the first track, ‘Rebirth (Intro)’, reaching its climax with the title track, ‘Who’.
The album features collaborations with a wide range of artists and producers, including Pdogg, GHSTLOOP, EVAN, as well as Grammy-nominated singer-songwriter and producer Jon Bellion, and Grammy-winning producer Ryan Tedder, among others. Unlike his previous solo work ‘FACE’, which solely showcased Jimin’s voice, ‘MUSE’ includes special harmonies with featured artists like rapper Loco and singer-actress Sofia Carson.
The title track “Who” serves as the culmination of the album’s love theme. It’s described as a hip-hop R&B genre song that immediately captivates listeners with its intense beat. Jimin’s charming voice plays a crucial role in heightening the song’s immersive quality. The track features a combination of acoustic yet intricate guitar playing and dynamic bounce, adding to its addictive nature.
The lyrics of “Who” pose the question, “Who is my heart waiting for?”, setting the tone for the song. The contrast between the wistful, sincere lyrics and the seductive, dynamic rhythm creates a unique atmosphere.
Jimin’s performance skills are on full display in the choreography for “Who”. The dance routine is notable for its narrative structure that aligns with the lyrics from intro to ending. It showcases a range of emotions and styles, from lonely wandering to intense performances, blending sensuality with powerful group dances. Jimin’s choreography demonstrates both delicacy and strength in its restrained movements.
‘MUSE’ promises to be a warm, bright album centered around the theme of love, with a vintage touch that creates a unique atmosphere. As Jimin leads us through this journey of finding love, fans can look forward to experiencing a new side of his artistry and emotion.
