‘Crispy Toast III’ comes from Crispy Toast, the new album from Seoul-based jazz pianist Suwon Yim on Curious Fable Records. It is uptempo instrumental jazz, credited with Larnell Lewis and Oli Hayhurst.

Suwon Yim plays Rhodes electric piano, and London bassist Oli Hayhurst joins him on a home recording. The take keeps the feel of a jam in a kitchen rather than a studio, quick and loose without losing the line.

Rhodes piano and a London bass line, recorded at home and played fast.

Suwon Yim graduated summa cum laude from the Berklee Global Jazz Institute and toured with the Ray Brown Jr. Quartet. Eleven full-length albums have drawn notice from Jazz People and MM Jazz.

Listeners who follow Jahari Stampley, Federico Casagrande or Daniel García will find a familiar pulse here. Put it on for a contemporary jazz session or an afternoon at the piano.
