It’s with deep sadness that we share the passing of our founding writer, Valdi Sabev.

Valdi played a huge role in shaping what RouteNote Radar is today. From the very beginning, he helped bring the platform to life — not just through his writing, but through his ideas, his energy, and his belief in what we were building. He was also involved across many areas of RouteNote, contributing far beyond just the blog and leaving a lasting mark on the company.

Valdi had a genuine passion for music, artists, and the industry as a whole. He cared deeply about helping independent creators understand the space and find their place within it. That passion came through in everything he wrote.

More importantly, Valdi was a valued part of the RouteNote family. He was someone we enjoyed working with, someone we respected, and someone who will be greatly missed by everyone who had the chance to know him.

Our thoughts are with his wife, his children, and his wider family during this incredibly difficult time.

Valdi’s impact on RouteNote will not be forgotten, and his work will continue to live on through everything he helped build.
