YouTube promotes “freedom of expression” as it loosens moderation policies
Following in the footsteps of other online platforms, YouTube has relaxed its approach to reviewing cotent. YouTube has relaxed its moderation policies, according to a report from The New York Times. Content reviewers have been instructed to not be so hasty in removing content that might violate its policies if they’re in the “public interest”. Training material that was viewed by the NY Times demonstrated what kind of material might constitute content that is in the public interest.
