However, we&#8217;ve come a long way from La Bamba. In fact, Latin music didn&#8217;t have a single song in <a href=\"https:\/\/routenote.com\/spotify#:~:text=You%20can%20distribute%20unlimited%20music,listeners%20all%20around%20the%20world.\">Spotify<\/a>&#8216;s global top 100 in 2013. Latin music now sits steadily at the top of charts year after year, and it&#8217;s showing no signs of slowing down.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Earlier in the year, we reported that <a href=\"https:\/\/routenote.com\/blog\/latin-music-to-hit-1-billion-us-revenues-2023\/\">Latin music is expected to hit a landmark $1 billion in recorded music revenues for 2023<\/a>. Thanks to the breakout success of acts like Daddy Yankee, J Balvin, Bad Bunny and the longstanding careers of Latin stars like Shakira and Enrique Iglesias. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>With an average annual pace of 10% growth in listeners, Latin music has nearly grown 1000% in the last decade. Artists like Bad Bunny are so popular, that his album actually topped Spotify&#8217;s album charts for two years in a row! Un Verano Sin Ti was the most streamed album in both <a href=\"https:\/\/routenote.com\/blog\/top-5-biggest-albums-on-spotify-2022\/\">2022<\/a> and <a href=\"https:\/\/routenote.com\/blog\/the-top-10-most-streamed-spotify-albums-in-2023\/\">2023<\/a>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong><a href=\"https:\/\/newsroom.spotify.com\/2023-12-18\/spotifys-10-year-journey-elevating-latin-creators\/\">Latin music has grown 986% on Spotify between 2014 and 2023.<\/a><\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>This shows a commitment of Latin music fans to the music that they love. This is represented elsewhere as well, with <a href=\"https:\/\/luminatedata.com\/reports\/latin-music-us-culture-commerce-impact\">Luminate revealing<\/a> that superfans of Latin music spend on average 30% more than other superfans.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Latin music is clearly on top and based on the growth it&#8217;s going to continue on after a decade of consistently powerful growth.
