Yes, after a redesign and the announcement of Clips on Spotify it definitely does, in a big way.<\/span><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>For the first time, the <a href=\"https:\/\/routenote.com\/blog\/can-i-upload-my-music-to-spotify-yes-and-its-free\/\">Spotify <\/a>mobile design has been radically changed. Short video previews will transform the Spotify Home feed into a more interactive <a href=\"https:\/\/routenote.com\/blog\/can-i-add-my-music-to-tiktok-for-free\/\">TikTok<\/a>-like experience.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Discovery has always been one of Spotify\u2019s strongest achievements, and changes to the mobile app take this to a whole new level. Previews of content Spotify thinks you\u2019ll like are shown as 30-second video clips on separate feeds on the <a href=\"http:\/\/routenote.com\/blog\/how-to-customize-your-spotify-artist-profile\/\">Spotify <\/a>homepage for Music, Podcasts, and <a href=\"https:\/\/routenote.com\/blog\/spotify-audiobooks-launches-in-more-countries\/\">Audiobooks<\/a>. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The feed has been in the works for a while, with <a href=\"https:\/\/routenote.com\/blog\/spotify-are-testing-a-tiktok-style-feed\/\">rumours of Spotify tests<\/a> back in 2021. Users can scroll until they find something that catches both the eye and the ear and tap to listen in full or find out more.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-embed is-type-video is-provider-youtube wp-block-embed-youtube wp-embed-aspect-16-9 wp-has-aspect-ratio\"><div class=\"wp-block-embed__wrapper\">\n<iframe loading=\"lazy\" title=\"Stream On 2023: The New Spotify Experience Demo\" width=\"720\" height=\"405\" src=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/embed\/jA9Y3IFwTB8?feature=oembed\" frameborder=\"0\" allow=\"accelerometer; autoplay; clipboard-write; encrypted-media; gyroscope; picture-in-picture; web-share\" allowfullscreen><\/iframe>\n<\/div><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p>In the feeds for Music, Podcasts, and <a href=\"https:\/\/routenote.com\/blog\/spotify-audiobooks-launches-in-more-countries\/\">Audiobooks<\/a> you\u2019ll see visual and audio previews of albums, songs and playlists, episodes of podcasts, and audiobooks, along with cards showcasing artists and podcasts. Some previews are laid out like Stories. Tap and you\u2019ll be taken to the page in question.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The Search feed also has short <a href=\"https:\/\/routenote.com\/blog\/add-spotify-canvas\/\">Canvas <\/a>clips of tracks you can scroll through. Previews are also available for playlists like Release Radar and New Music Friday. Meanwhile, new Spotify Clips on artist pages allow artists to post short videos giving fans behind-the-scenes information about their songs and plans for the future. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-image\"><figure class=\"aligncenter size-large\"><img loading=\"lazy\" width=\"1300\" height=\"850\" src=\"https:\/\/routenote.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/03\/spotify-video-on-songs-podcast-and-audiobooks-previews.png\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-95240 lazyload\"\/><\/figure><\/div>\n\n\n\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/routenote.com\/blog\/spotify-announce-at-stream-on-2023\/\">Other features unveiled at Spotify\u2019s Stream On conference<\/a> included <a href=\"https:\/\/routenote.com\/blog\/create-spotify-playlists-with-smart-shuffle-feature\/\">Smart Shuffle<\/a> for playlists and <a href=\"https:\/\/routenote.com\/blog\/countdown-page-for-spotify-presave\/\">Countdown Pages<\/a> for artists to push pre-saves in the run up to <a href=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/watch?v=qK2M1qMZfuA\">release day<\/a>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Before everyone starts shouting too loudly about Spotify becoming <a href=\"https:\/\/routenote.com\/blog\/a-viral-tiktok-song-can-change-your-music-career\/\">TikTok<\/a>, its worth noting that while the emphasis is on continuously scrolling, the idea is to follow the preview through to the main page to discover more about the content.
