The Minimonsta software synth is based on the infamous Moog Minimoog Model D, and Minimonsta 2 update brings a bunch of new features that enhance its power.<\/span><\/h2>\n\n\n\n

GForce Software has introduced the second iteration of one of its renowned vintage synth emulations, Minimonsta 2. GForce has promised that the Minimonsta soft synth retains the same sound characteristics and workflow while featuring a swathe of new tools. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

While the developers’ mission to recreate the iconic Moog is at the core of the Minimonsta synth with its three oscillators and ADS envelopes, GForce has introduced some enhancements and a new user interface layout.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Minimonsta 2<\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\n\n

First up the new interface is sleek and modern compared to the original Minimonsta synth emulation. The UI is now fully resizable, and this is matched with an improved audio engine and a new preset browser.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

In fact, GForce has added more than three hundred presets to the library of 500 pre-existing presets. With over 800 presets now available, the addition of the new preset browser allows you to organize and navigate your sounds easily.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Furthermore, Minimonsta now offers a neat reverb effect for adding depth to your patches while the addition of four programmable macros makes for modulation mapping. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Meanwhile, the new Vintage control allows you to add some imperfections that analog gear has a reputation for adding to signals. This is a neat addition because it means you can add some authentic analog characters to your Minimonsta sounds. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Perhaps the best additions, or maybe just my favorites, are the XLFO & X-ADSR modules. Now you can create some extensive modulation cycles and map them to almost every parameter and add complex characters to your patches. Then, the new bass-preserving Ladder-style filter ensures you won’t lose any low end when you add more resonance to the filter.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
