These came out at 489 million and 205 million respectively. The latter was up from 195 million <a href=\"https:\/\/routenote.com\/blog\/spotifys-q3-2022-results\/#:~:text=As%20of%20the%20end%20of,respectively%20from%20the%20previous%20quarter.\">the quarter before.<\/a><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The huge milestone comes just four years after they hit 100 million subscribers in <a style=\"user-select: auto;\" href=\"https:\/\/routenote.com\/blog\/spotify-celebrate-100-million-subscribers-with-their-2019-q1-report\/\">their Q1 2019 report,<\/a> which in turn came over ten years after launch. <a href=\"https:\/\/newsroom.spotify.com\/2023-02-01\/spotifys-journey-to-200-million-subscribers\/\">In the announcement,<\/a> Spotify thanked their subscribers, saying it allowed them to:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul><li>Innovate: We invest back into the product, rewarding subscriber loyalty with the very best user experience through features like <a href=\"https:\/\/routenote.com\/blog\/how-do-you-blend-on-spotify-with-more-than-one-user\/\">Blend<\/a>, <a href=\"https:\/\/routenote.com\/blog\/spotifys-discover-weekly-playlist-has-been-streamed-for-over-2-3-billion-hours\/\">Discover Weekly<\/a> and <a href=\"https:\/\/routenote.com\/blog\/spotify-wrapped-2022\/\">Wrapped<\/a>.<\/li><li>Expand: We\u2019ve grown with our users, offering life stage and market-tailored plans like <a href=\"https:\/\/routenote.com\/blog\/spotify-premium-price-rise\/\">Family<\/a>, <a href=\"https:\/\/routenote.com\/blog\/how-much-is-spotify-for-students\/\">Student<\/a> and <a href=\"https:\/\/routenote.com\/blog\/spotify-rewards-program-one-week-of-premium-mini-for-just-%e2%82%b92-in-india\/\">Spotify Mini<\/a>.<\/li><li>Scale: We\u2019re now live in <a href=\"https:\/\/routenote.com\/blog\/spotify-launches-in-new-countries\/\">over 180 markets<\/a>, creating a truly global community united by audio.<\/li><li>Support: We\u2019ve paid music rights holders, including record labels, publishers, distributors (and more) $30 billion since our founding.* We\u2019re also using our platform and marketing to amplify and support artists, with programs like Frequency, Radar, EQUAL, and the recently launched GLOW.
