What&#8217;s the most hated Christmas song in the US?  <\/span><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>A survey has revealed the holiday tune that Americans think is the most annoying Christmas song ever. And the song that grates the most is unexpected \u2013 because it\u2019s so popular. In fact, we placed it second on our (subjective) <a href=\"https:\/\/routenote.com\/blog\/best-christmas-songs-all-time\/\">best Christmas songs of all time<\/a> list, and at current count the official video has almost 750m views on YouTube.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>So what is the most annoying Christmas song? It&#8217;s <strong>&#8220;All I Want For Christmas Is You&#8221; by Mariah Carey<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-embed is-type-video is-provider-youtube wp-block-embed-youtube wp-embed-aspect-4-3 wp-has-aspect-ratio\"><div class=\"wp-block-embed__wrapper\">\n<iframe loading=\"lazy\" title=\"Mariah Carey - All I Want For Christmas Is You (Official Video)\" width=\"720\" height=\"540\" src=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/embed\/yXQViqx6GMY?feature=oembed\" frameborder=\"0\" allow=\"accelerometer; autoplay; clipboard-write; encrypted-media; gyroscope; picture-in-picture\" allowfullscreen><\/iframe>\n<\/div><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/financebuzz.com\/popular-christmas-songs-each-state\">FinanceBuzz\u2019s survey<\/a> questioned 1,250 adults in the US, to find the holiday song that everyone agreed wound them up the most. Asking in November, before the festive season, probably made Christmas songs seem extra-irritating. You&#8217;ve got to wait until the holiday spirit is fully present.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>And as for the rest? FinanceBuzz also used <a href=\"https:\/\/routenote.com\/blog\/most-searched-songs-on-google\/\">Google Trends<\/a> to find out what the most popular <a href=\"https:\/\/routenote.com\/blog\/9-seasonal-songs-that-sound-like-christmas\/\">Christmas<\/a> song is depending on where in the US you&#8217;re based, which is a much jollier undertaking. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-image\"><figure class=\"aligncenter size-large is-resized\"><img loading=\"lazy\" src=\"https:\/\/routenote.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/12\/what-are-the-most-popular-christmas-songs-of-all-time-by-state.jpg\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-94563 lazyload\" width=\"525\" height=\"782\"\/><\/figure><\/div>\n\n\n\n<p>Every state had their say. Kansas loves &#8220;Jingle Bell Rock.&#8221; Oregon stands alone with its soft spot for &#8220;I&#8217;ll Be Home for Christmas.&#8221; Is there a correlation between the popularity of \u201cFeliz Navidad\u201d and the states with the most Spanish language-speakers?
