YouTube is testing a new way for creators to promote their content directly on the platform.<\/span><\/h2>\n\n\n\n

Musicians will be able to use the new Promotions tab to buy ads on the platform if full implementation comes in, reports TechCrunch<\/a><\/strong><\/span>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The goal is to give creators more tools to reach a wider audience in a simpler end-to-end workflow in YouTube Studio. For now, though, YouTube is testing the new tab with a limited number of creators on desktop.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The addition of the Promotions tabs will make it easier for creators of all kinds to promote their content and increase their presence on YouTube. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Currently, creators must go through Google Ads Manager to do so. But with this Promotions Tab, creators can utilize the simpler workflow.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

YouTube will directly benefit too as it’s a way for them to generate more ad revenue directly.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

At the time of writing it is unclear if YouTube plans to fully implement the Promotions tab at full scale.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Another new addition for creators to the YouTube platform is the ability to view key metrics on the main app itself. Before, creators had to use the YouTube Studio app to view metrics about videos, Shorts, and live streams. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Now, creators can see these from the main YouTube app on both iOS and Android. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

The Google subsidiary says that the goal is to aid creators in understanding how one content type performs compared to others on their channel.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Finally, YouTube is also providing a way for creators to manage their live streams too. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

With this feature, creators can schedule, manage and edit live and upcoming mobile streams in Live Control Room<\/strong> and YouTube Studio<\/strong>. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Currently, creators can only moderate live chats in the YouTube mobile app. They can’t edit or manage a mobile live stream whatsoever. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

YouTube says this change will be live for all eligible creators by the end of the week.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
