On the <span style=\"text-decoration: underline\" class=\"underline\"><strong><a href=\"https:\/\/www.sonantic.io\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Sonantic site<\/a><\/strong><\/span>, the company claims its \u201ctechnology is poised to revolutionize game and film production\u201d reports <span style=\"text-decoration: underline\" class=\"underline\"><strong><a href=\"https:\/\/www.musicbusinessworldwide.com\/spotify-to-acquire-ai-voice-platform-sonantic1\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">MBW<\/a><\/strong><\/span>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Furthermore, the company claims to be able to create \u201ccompelling, nuanced, and stunningly realistic voices from text\u201d.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<hr class=\"wp-block-separator\"\/>\n\n\n\n<h3>Who are Sonantic?<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p><span style=\"text-decoration: underline\" class=\"underline\"><strong><a href=\"https:\/\/www.sonantic.io\/blog\/sonantic-origin-story\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">In a blog post<\/a><\/strong><\/span>, co-founder and Sonantic CEO Zeena Qureshi said that a number of uses within the voice market include \u201cadvertising and call centres to robots and audiobooks&#8221;. In the same blog post, Qureshi talks about how Sonantic&#8217;s <strong><em>work is split into two parts.<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>First, they create \u201chigh quality voice technology for studios\u201d. For anyone that works in dialogue recording and editing roles, you&#8217;ll know that it takes time to record. Add to that the logistics of getting voice actors into the studio and you&#8217;ve got a lot to think about. Well, Sonantic aim to &#8220;[spare] creators the time and logistics involved in traditional voice recording, while also transforming their scripts into immersive story voices in real time<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>As for the second part of the company&#8217;s work, they work with professional actors to \u201ccreate models of their voice\u201d.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<hr class=\"wp-block-separator\"\/>\n\n\n\n<h3>Spotify acquires Sonantic<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>The Sonantic co-founders Zeena Qureshi and John Flynn said in a joint statement: \u201cWe\u2019re looking forward to joining <span style=\"text-decoration: underline\" class=\"underline\"><strong><a href=\"https:\/\/routenote.com\/blog\/songs-of-summer-2022-spotify-prediction\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Spotify<\/a><\/strong><\/span> and continuing to build exciting voice experiences.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cWe believe in the power voice has and its ability to foster a deeper connection with listeners around the world, and we know we can be better than ever on the world\u2019s largest audio platform.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The news of Spotify acquiring Sonantic is in line with last week\u2019s Spotify Investor Day. CEO\u00a0Daniel Ek\u00a0outlined his company&#8217;s intentions to enter the audiobook market. Moreover, Spotify announced in November that an agreement to\u00a0acquire\u00a0audiobook distribution company Findaway was in reach.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<blockquote class=\"wp-block-quote\"><p>We\u2019re really excited about the potential to bring Sonantic\u2019s AI voice technology onto the Spotify platform and create new experiences for our users.
