As their name suggests, Glitchmachines can’t help but design audio tools designed to break sound up as creatively as possible. Glitchmachines Cataract 2.0 is here to help us slice multiple samples at once in an ingenious way.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

In contrast to a typical sample slicer which “typically deals with recalling markers” in an audio file, Cataract 2.0 is “driven by your DAWs clock and dynamically scans over segments of up to four separate audio files across two scanners”. Segments of your audio are “distributed in time” via an internal sequencer. Furthermore, Cataract conically manipulates your audio in interesting ways via modulation sources to achieve that clean yet glitchy sound that Glitchmachiens have a reputation for. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
